🔌 Voltage Divider Calculator

Calculate output voltage from a resistor divider circuit. Find R1 or R2 for a desired output voltage.

Vin R1 Vout R2 GND
Output Voltage (Vout)
Current (I)
Ratio (Vout/Vin)
Vout = Vin × R2 / (R1 + R2)

About Voltage Dividers

What is a voltage divider?

A voltage divider uses two resistors in series to produce a fraction of the input voltage. Commonly used for sensor interfacing, ADC inputs, and level shifting.

Limitations

Voltage dividers are not suitable for high-current loads. The output voltage drops when a load is connected. Use a voltage regulator for stable power supply.
