🔬 SMD Resistor Code Calculator
Decode 3-digit and 4-digit SMD (Surface Mount Device) resistor markings. Enter the code printed on the resistor.
Common SMD Codes
How to Read SMD Resistor Codes
3-Digit Code (e.g. 472)
First 2 digits = significant figures, last digit = multiplier (number of zeros). 472 = 47 × 10² = 4700Ω = 4.7kΩ
4-Digit Code (e.g. 4702)
First 3 digits = significant figures, last digit = multiplier. 4702 = 470 × 10² = 47000Ω = 47kΩ
Special Code: R
"R" indicates a decimal point. 4R7 = 4.7Ω, R47 = 0.47Ω
